The city of Obregon is the second largest city in the state of Sonora, which shares border with Arizona. Situated in the Yaqui Valley, named for the indigenous tribe that lives there, the Obregon area preserves theYaqui legacies with a variety of cultural festivities. There are eight, thriving Yaqui communities in the vicinity, including the picturesque town of Cocorit, which has museum of native artifacts.
This city is known for the high-tech irrigation systems that have turned the dry plains around it into one of Mexico´s breadbaskets. These vast plains attracted the attention of the visionaries and pioneers who settled the area a century ago and made it one of the most prosperous agricultural regions of the country.

The Holiday Inn Obregon with 89 guestrooms and suites and 2 halls that hold up to 50 individuals for events. Ciudad Obregon International Airport has direct flights to Cabo San Lucas, Guadalajara, Mexico City and Tucson.
