Arts and Crafts in Taxco

The people of Taxco do  wonderful things with silver, the luminosity of which reflects skill and tradition.

Markets, shops, and festivals are all opportunities to purchase silver jewelry, dishes, sculptures, cutlery, vases, jugs, among other objects, utilitarian and decorative.

Wood is also important in the arts and crafts of Taxco. Many Mexicans come to this city to buy pieces of handmade furniture, often made in a colonial style with intricate details.

Art in Taco is also present in the exhibitions that take place in the Casa Borda, where different techniques are on display.

Pieces made locally or in nearby regions are displayed temporarily in the House of Culture of this Pueblo Mágico.

In addition, in a municipality close to Taxco, Tlamacazapa, one can find unique objects, such as bags, valises, rugs, tortilla holders, and different styles of hats, crafted from palm fiber.
